Mark may be contacted at his home located at 9825 Iltis Drive. His home phone number is 276-9517. Mark and his wife, Julia, have two sons, Wesley (2009 UHS graduate) and Grant (2012 UHS graduate). Mark is a graduate of Marshalltown High School and Simpson College where he received his degree in Business Administration and Accounting.  Past service to the community includes Chairperson of the Urbandale Community School District Local Option Sales Tax Community Facilities Committee District's representative on the Polk County Local Option Sales Tax Oversight Committee, and Appointed Board Member of the Des Moines Teachers Retirement System. Over the years, Mark has been active as a volunteer in the Urbandale schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels. He has coached his son's teams in organized leagues for football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
