Hello,
This is my 32nd year at Urbandale High School, and my seventh year teaching RECESS. I’m proud to call myself a J-Hawk.

My goal is to provide students a safe and quiet environment with a focus on helping them learn how to help themselves.

My wife, Daphne, teaches instrumental music at Urbandale Middle School, and our daughter is a J-Hawk in eighth grade.

I’m excited to have your student in our classroom this year, and I welcome you to contact me when you have a question.

Strategic Goal for RECESS

By the end of the semester,  100% of all students will demonstrate an understanding of course power standards as measured by a score of 1.0 or higher on all common assessments.

Grades For Recess

Students in RECESS are graded on goalsetting,  productivity, and accountability in the classroom. Please contact me if you have any questions about your student’s grade.
