There is more treasure in books
than all the pirate’s loot
on Treasure Island.
This is my 14th year teaching in Urbandale. I received my degree from the University of Nebraska. I taught for 5 years in Lincoln, Nebraska as a special education, classroom and reading teacher. It was there, that I was trained in Reading Recovery for 1st graders. I then spent 3 years as a 1st grade classroom teacher, in the Kansas City area. I moved to the Des Moines area in 2004. After spending a couple years home with my children, I was excited to return to teaching in 2007.
This year, I will be working with Jensen students to improve their reading skills. My husband & I have 6 children – three in college (Grand View, Iowa & Iowa State) an 11th grader and two 9th graders. When I’m not at school, they keep me very busy. I also enjoy photography, scrapbooking, gardening, and reading- surprise! If I can help with any part of your child’s reading education, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
Please contact me for the login & password information- all students should know Jensen's and are welcome to access the sites at home!
