Attendance/Activity Attendance by Absent Students - UMS
Students must be in attendance at least 3.5 hours of school in order to participate in any school activity or event that day or evening.
Students who are absent from school without the knowledge and consent of the parents/guardian and the administration, or students who leave school during any session without the consent of the principal, shall always be considered unexcused or truant. Even though parents/guardians may excuse a child, the administration has the final authority in determining if an absence is excused or unexcused. Every effort will be made to work with the parents/or guardians.
