SCHOOL CALENDAR
The District's academic calendar shall accommodate the educational program of the District. The calendar shall be for a minimum of 200 days and shall include, but need not be limited to, the days for student instruction, staff development and inservice, and time for family-teacher conferences.
The school academic year for students may vary from building to building, as long as the school academic year is for a minimum of 180 days. Seniors may be dismissed up to five days early. The Board may also excuse graduating seniors from making up days missed due to inclement weather if the student has met the District's graduation requirements. Students requiring special education may attend school on a school calendar different from that of the regular education program consistent with their individualized education plans. The school academic year for students shall begin no earlier each year than the week in which September l falls, unless the District obtains a waiver from the Department of Education.
