515 – Student Health-Injury Or Illness At School
Students who become ill or are injured at school will be given such emergency treatment as is available. Whenever possible, a parent or guardian will be notified by telephone and instructions will be requested regarding the disposal of the case. An ill or injured student may be transported to a medical facility if school officials deem it necessary. An ill or injured student shall not be sent home without consent of the parent or guardian. The parent or guardian shall be responsible for keeping an up-to-date emergency medical form on file at the student’s building. The administration shall insure that all accidents occurring on school property or at school-sponsored activities are reported in writing to the building principal.
