City Hall Showcases Urbandale Middle School 6th Grade ArtworkCreated on June 12th, 2018
Urbandale Middle School 6th grade students welcomed the opportunity to share their creative talents with the Urbandale community when their 6th Grade Art Teacher, Becky Baack, received an invitation from the City of Urbandale to display artwork throughout the month of June at City Hall. “Printmaking Prints” was the artwork theme and the focus was on having students create a print series using Lino and/or styrofoam printmaking techniques. Students then prepared the print for presentation by titling, numbering, signing and then choosing a clean quality print from their edition to put on display. Through the process of getting ready for display, students learned about Visual Art Anchor Standard 4: Select, analyze, and interpret artistic work for presentation. Here is just a sampling of the wonderful artwork on display.
Be sure to stop by City Hall throughout the month of June to see the artwork on display by these creative and talented 6th grade students. Thank you to UMS 6th Grade Art Teacher, Becky Baack, and the City of Urbandale for providing this wonderful opportunity for students. Outstanding!
