Highlights Of UHS Engineering Cyber Defense Club And Robotics Club: Websites, Databases & RobotsCreated on November 29th, 2019
Students in the Cyber Defense Club at Urbandale High School have created websites with attached databases. They have learned about creating a form and querying, inserting, updating and deleting from their databases. This photo is of students learning about SQL injection and how to defend against it. Big thanks to our school partnership with Corteva and mentors Kaleb Luse and Matt Herman.
Principles of Engineering (POE) Robotics Club has been working on a lot of amazing robots lately. The Robotics Club is a new club for POE students. The robot shown here is a stair climbing robot. It has already demonstrated a successful run using remote control. The Club has now been challenged to use sensors to automate the process and have the robot climb the stairs without being controlled by a human. They are getting close!
