About Olmsted
Welcome to the Olmsted Elementary School web site. This site is maintained by Olmsted students and staff.  Our Olmsted vision is Hand in Hand, Reaching Success.  Our school is located at the corner of 72nd and Prairie in Urbandale. Olmsted has approximately 230 students in grades first through fifth, along with  about 180 kindergarten students in the Kindergarten Center. The Kindergarten Center is the first Urbandale School experience for most Urbandale students.

Welcome to my page! 

My name is Terri Muehlenthaler-Holmes and I am very happy to be your child's teacher this year.  I have been a teacher for 30 years.  I've taught music, Optional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.  I will be teaching Kindergarten for the 2013-2014 school year.
I received my BA in elementary education, music minor, early childhood endorsement, and MA in educational psychology from UNI. 
I love to help children realize how much fun it is to learn new things.  We have many great activities to do this year.  Your child will have many new ideas to share with you.  I can be found in room 6.  My phone # is 457-5824.  I can also be reached by e-mail at muehlenthaler-holmest@urbandale.k12.ia.us.
