My name is Shawnee Belford and I am an elementary interventionist. I graduated from William Penn University in Oskaloosa in December 2014 with certification in both elementary, reading and special education. I graduated from Upper Iowa University in Oskaloosa in December 2014 with a Masters in special education, instructional strategist I. I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve many students! I started with Urbandale fall of 2015 and been here ever since.

I believe that the future is your child’s. My goal is to help students succeed, and give them the knowledge that they need to accomplish what they set their mind too. As I go forth in my career I thrive on watching children learn and seeing that moment when they fully understand what we have been working on. I plan on sharing these moments with you so you can see them grow in their schooling.

The journey so far has been a lot of work but it has been well worth it. Each student is unique with different experiences, and this year will not be different. I have enjoyed each experience along the way and am looking forward to getting to know and work with your child.
