Hello! I’m the Digital Learning Teacher Librarian at Valerius. I look forward to seeing you in the library this year!

ABOUT ME
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa & have spent 20+ years in elementary education as a classroom teacher, reading teacher, & teacher librarian. Outside of the library, I enjoy traveling & spending time outdoors with my husband & our two children.

LIBRARY FAVORITES
I love helping students find what they’re excited to read! Some of my favorite children’s authors/illustrators are Oliver Jeffers, Yuyi Morales, & Mo Willems. Jacqueline Woodson’s “Brown Girl Dreaming” & Peter Brown’s “The Wild Robot” are two of my favorite middle grade novels. During library time we also get to work on computer science & digital learning.
