Welcome to First Grade!
I am Rachel Sharon and I am beginning my 3rd year teaching in Urbandale. I taught my first two years at Karen Acres and I am so excited to be teaching at the brand new Olmsted! I grew up in Urbandale and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in Reading and English/Language Arts.
I am married to my husband, Ty, who teaches at Urbandale High School and coaches Baseball and Girl’s Basketball. Outside of school I enjoy being outside, reading, and spending time with my family and my dog, Libby.
I am looking forward to a great year!
