For weeks, the Webster Elementary fifth graders have been interviewing and preparing for their unique jobs and roles at Junior Achievement’s BizTown in Des Moines, and on Wednesday, February 28th they got to put all of that work to the test! JA BizTown is a mock business space that hosts a bank, construction store, restaurants, insurance company, a radio station, and so much more. Each business must rely on each other to properly operate. Students get to be CEOs, CFOs, Mayors, and even tellers. The students experience all facets of running a business and taking on roles that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
