Hello! I am so excited to be teaching your child this year! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! In the meantime, I will share a little bit of my background, so that you may get to know me!
I graduated from Morningside College with Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education (K-8), and a Minor in Psychology. I also received a Master’s degree in Elementary Administration from Drake University.
I began my teaching career in Des Moines, where I taught second grade for several years at Garton Elementary School. In that time, Robert Bagley and I had three children: Alexie, Braden and Carter–in that ABC order! All three of my children went to Olmsted. It is a great place to be!
I transferred from Des Moines to Urbandale as a kindergarten teacher here at Olmsted. After teaching kindergarten for several years, I moved back to second grade. I love my “job” and this age group! These are such wonderful years. The students grow so much developmentally, socially, and academically in one school year. The students inspire me, just as much as I hope to inspire each and every one of them!
