Announcing New Coordinator of Equity and Inclusion June 2023

Announcing Our UCSD Coordinator of Equity and Inclusion

We’re excited to announce our UCSD Coordinator of Equity and Inclusion beginning in the 2023–24 school year. Mrs. Stephanie Davis has accepted the position of Coordinator of Equity and Inclusion. We look forward to welcoming her to the position beginning July 1, 2023. 

Equity and inclusionWith over 22 years of experience, Mrs. Davis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this position. Since 2014, she has been serving as a Gifted and Talented Consultant in Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS). Prior to that, Mrs. Davis served as Interim World Language Curriculum Support for one year in DMPS, a Spanish teacher for 12 years in Ankeny Community School District, and a Spanish teacher for one year at Urbandale High School.

 Mrs. Davis earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Drake University, a Master of Science in Effective Teaching and Learning from Drake University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Spanish from Wartburg College. She holds a Specialist in Educational Administration with a concentration in Culturally Responsive Leadership from Drake University and a Gifted and Talented PreK-12 Endorsement from Drake University.

 “It is an incredible honor to return to Urbandale Community School District,” said Davis. “I am committed to empowering students, dismantling barriers, and fostering an environment where all feel valued and respected. I am excited to work together with students, staff, families, and the community to build upon the foundation of equity.”
