UCSD Superintendent, Dr. Rosalie Daca, popped into Mrs. Whitver’s Kindergarten classroom at Karen Acres on April 7th and experienced Fun Friday Word Study with the students. Students used iPads and the OSMO Words app to identify beginning sounds, practice letter identification with pictures, and worked on long vowel patterns like CVCe, ai, and ay. The kindergartners loved having Dr. Daca in the classroom!
