ISU Cyclones Share About the Importance of Education, Teamwork & Powering Through Adversity

Through a collaboration between Iowa State Director of Student Athlete Development Justus Jones and Olmsted Elementary Facilitator of Family Outreach Joelly Scheff, UCSD 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys were able to learn the importance of education, teamwork and powering through adversity alongside Iowa State Cyclone Football players. Students were able to run drills with players, ask the players questions in the meeting room, and tour the Iowa State Cyclone locker and game rooms.

UCSD team members who helped make this incredible day a reality were FFO’s Joelly Scheff, Sarah Downs, Maddy Punsalan and 4th grade teacher Mrs. Demmerly. Many thanks to the Cyclones, our UCSD team, and Sigler for designing and donating Iowa State t-shirts for our UCSD students. What an amazing day!
