Rolling Green 4th Graders Research Endangered Species

Fourth graders at Rolling Green completed an end-of-the-year project focusing on endangered animals in Iowa/the Midwest. Students learned about different structures and behaviors that species have that help them survive in their environment. Students got to choose which endangered species they would research for their final writing project, an informational paper about why their chosen species is endangered and their behaviors, physical characteristics, or habitats, along with a call to action plan. 

After completing their research paper about the endangered species, students got to share their projects with their classmates through a slide show, poster, or website. Here is a list of some of the animals that were researched, along with links to their final projects:
