Throughout the month of February, students from Urbandale High School who are part of CORE (Community of Racial Equity) are visiting Urbandale elementary schools in celebration of Black History Month. On February 3rd, CORE students visited Karen Acres and enjoyed reading books and presenting highlights of Black culture, history, and inventions. This was a great opportunity for our “little” J-Hawks to learn from our “big” J-Hawks in recognition of Black History Month. #empoweringU #UHSpride #KApride
