Valerius Students Give Their Personal Touch To Crayfish Habitat

Third graders at Valerius had a unique experience this week as they got to care for their own crayfish. In science class, students have been studying animal adaptations, behavior, habitat, food chains, and more. The children were put into small groups to care for their own crayfish and learn through observation and other hands-on activities. The students were ecstatic to bring items from home that are found in the natural habitat of crayfish in order to add their own touches to their tanks! This is such a fun unit for the students to bring learning to life!
